Simpson Strong-Tie CPTZ CPT44Z Concealed Post Base, 4 x 4 in Post, 12 ga Gauge, Steel, ZMAX

The CPTZ concealed post-base provides a clean, concealed look while providing a 1 in stand-off height above concrete. The 1 in stand-off reduces the potential for decay at the post-end and satisfies code requirements for posts that are exposed to weather, water splash or in basements. It is part of a system of concealed connectors that includes the CBTZ and CJT.

Made of steel with a zmax finish, with material gauge 12 ga, minimum embedment depth 2-1/4 in, post size 4 x 4 in.

• The 1 in stand-off height is code-required when supporting permanent structures that are exposed to weather or water splash, or in basements
• The stand-off reduces the potential for decay at post or column ends
• The anchorage for the CPTZ can be either cast-in-place or retrofit with adhesive or mechanical anchors
