How it works
Step 1
Bring your sizes or send the list
Walk in with finished dimensions, or send the material, thickness and each piece with the form. Note which side is the show face.
Step 2
We cut it on the panel saw
Measured, marked square and cut. Plywood and hardboard while you wait; acrylic is scored or saw-cut depending on thickness.
Step 3
Pick up or get it delivered
Carry it out, or book local delivery. Delivery rates are the store's standard rates and Manhattan is free over the threshold.
Cut to your size
Shelves, closet panels, radiator covers, drawer bottoms, table tops and window inserts, cut to the sizes you give us.
Acrylic plexiglass
Clear acrylic sheet cut for window protection, table protectors, picture glazing and shelf guards. Tell us the thickness and we tell you whether it is scored or saw-cut.
Honest about tolerance
A panel saw gives jobsite accuracy, about 1/16 in, sometimes a little more on a long rip. For cabinet-grade fits, order slightly oversize and trim on site.
Straight cross cuts on plywood and sheet goods are $5 each, rip cuts are $7 each, and pine or dimensional boards are $2.50 per cut. Material is billed separately at the shelf price.
Do you cut plexiglass?
Yes. Acrylic sheet is cut to your size at the same cut charges. Sheet stock and thickness are quoted at the counter, and the price is confirmed before we cut.
How accurate are the cuts?
Jobsite accuracy: about 1/16 in of variance, sometimes a bit more on a long rip. Fine for shelves, backing, panels and most apartment work. For a drawer box or an inset door, order oversize and do the final trim yourself.
What is the difference between a rip and a cross cut?
A rip runs the long way down a sheet or board, along the grain, which on a 4x8 sheet is the full 8 ft pass. A cross cut runs across it. That is why rips cost more and why long narrow strips take more material than their square footage suggests.
Can I bring my own material?
Yes for wood and sheet goods you bought here or elsewhere, as long as it is clean and free of nails. Ask at the counter first for acrylic.
Do you deliver cut pieces?
Yes. Local delivery follows the store's standard delivery rates, with free Manhattan delivery over the threshold shown on every product page.
